So, here we are. Or at least, here I am. So who am I? What's this whole thing about?
My name is Daniel Ryan and I am a pilot in the Royal Canadian Air Force. More specifically, I am a pilot in training with the RCAF, currently going through Basic Flying Training in Moose Jaw, SK. The RCAF is largely regarded to have some of the best trained pilots in the world, and the RCAF trains many pilots from international militaries as well as its own. This blog is a place for me to share my experiences as I go through my training and give others an insight into the life of a pilot in training. I hope to shed some light on not only aviation training in the military, but also military life, and all the things that go with it. Whether you're interested in the flying stories, learning all the acronyms (there are plenty of those), or how life in the military is like, I hope you find this interesting and enjoyable.
